EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Tina Mathieu

Deputy Director

Tina has been with UCA since June 2022.  Tina spent thirty years working in different capacities at 911 Public Safety Answering Points in Utah.   Tina began at Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center as a police service dispatcher.  In her eight years at VECC, she learned many different positions and was ultimately promoted to supervisor.    Tina was then hired on at Layton City as the 911 Manager where she worked for nine years.   Tina was hired on with Weber Area 911 Dispatch and Emergency Services District where she spent 13 years as the Executive Director.   Throughout her years in the 911 industry, Tina has been involved in legislation that has directly impacted important improvements to statewide 911 related to standards, technology, and finances.  Her legislative efforts have positively impacted the PSAPs, public safety agencies, and citizens of the State. Tina has also worked closely with UCA throughout the years, which included work on many legislative issues for UCA, and she served on the Board for many years, including as the Chair of the Board.    Tina was thrilled when she was offered the position with UCA, and it seemed like a natural move for her given that she has been a strong advocate for the organization and its employees for decades. Outside of work Tina enjoys playing golf, especially in couple’s tournaments with her husband, and spending time with her family.
